BILL COWSILL Born Jan. 9, 1948 Capricorn
Those born under the sign of Capricorn are often the leaders of the world. They're extremely independent and don't like to be influenced by other people, especially friends who might mean well, but often don't know what they're talking about. Bill, the oldest member of the family, is accustomed to having his brothers look to him for guidance in most things. He takes his work and his role as the children's offical leader very seriously and ponders decisions with a great deal of thought. But he does manage to follow his own instincts and creative urges. Right now, he's most interested in English - writing poetry, stories and, of course, song lyrics.
Capricorns are either without humor or extremely witty. Bill's the witty type. In fact, it's almost impossible to play a practical joke on him beause he has the ability to turn the tables on you in two seconds flat ! To look at, a Capricorn may often be tall, angular, thin, with shaggy eyebrows and deep-set eyes. He has perfect bone structure, which means that the face usually improves with age. (Not that Bill needs improvement, but he certainly fits the picture!)

BOB COWSILL Born Aug. 26, 1949 Virgo
Virgoans are the perfectioniests - more so than any other sign. They're usually very tidy and very organized at everything they do - no matter how trivial a job may be. The Cowsill family is very proud of Bob - and in his A and B average in school! How does he get his work done with a such a big family and so much going on? Believe it or not, he disappears occasionally! And he's often gone for many hours at a time - reading! It's a unique method of getting studies done, but it sure workds for Bob!
Those born under the sing of Virgo are always very kind, sympathetic and friendly, once they get over an inital outward sign of being slightly stand-offish. Those who know Bob best say he's one guy who can walk into a room full of strangers and have them all talking together in a very short time. He's also one of the few people who can pick out an atrocious bright red shirt for someone in a clothing store and then convince him that he looks great in it!

Virgoans, as we've mentioned, are perfectionists and paragons of virtue. (Barry, who attends St. Augustine's School in Newport, Rhode Island, is an honor student and proud of it!) He was once the original drummer for The Cowsills. But when his younger brohter John was old enough to take over, Barry traded in the drums for the guitar and a singing lead. He can still beat a mean drum, however - as well as being accomplished with the guitar. To top it off, he'd like to learn how to play more intruments and widen his musicla abilities!
Virgoans, as we've also said, are a friendly lot. They also have a rather dry wit - but a wit, just th esame. Barry, like his brother Bob, is as friendly as can be. When he greets you for the first or four hundredth time, it's always with the same enthusiasm and spirit. Barry's smile is his trademark. He can even get away with teasing his brothers - as long as that smile is flashing. Someone close to him once said that when he laughs, his freckles laugh, too. That's Barry - outgoing, happy and talented!

BARRY COWSILL Born Sept. 14, 1954 Virgo
Pisceans are the dreamers, the sensitive, idealistic, impressionable, lovable people. They're sentimental and romantic. John fits into this picture perfectly. He has said, "I love all the colors in the world." He has also commented on many occasions, "I'm happy and I just want to be me." Ohters may laugh, but he means it. He's basically a happy perosn, one who loves life and everything that goes with it!
It's almost impossible to push a Piscean to real anger, which tends to frustrate those around him. John almost never fights or even argues with his brothers. He's much too busy being happy, you see! One of his biggest wishes is to own a motocycle and be able to take off on it whenever he wantes to explore the whole wide world. He'd also like to know how to fly by himself. And knowing John, we feel it's not at all impossible that one day, he just may do it!
