The festivities begin on Thursday, May 29th, when a satirical review called "No More Rivers" draws an audience to the main steps of Bancroft Hall at 8:10 A.M. Following this is the first of three dress parades at which time the Class of 1969 dedicates its graduation gift - a self-orienting sun dial - to the Academy. The 4,100 midshipmen create an awesome sight as they descend upon Worden Field dressed in white caps, blue waist-length jackets and white trousers. Next is the Plebe Recognition Ceremony, held in Tecumseh Court, signifying the transition of the fourth classmen to upper class midshipmen. In the evening, the two most important events are the "hop" (the first of many this week) and a popular music concert starring the folk-rock group, the Cowsills.
