CALIFORNIA -
At first, I wasn't too happy about living in California. I didn't know what it would be like, I had no friends there and I decided to hate it - long before we even moved! Luckily, I got over that immature habit of judging something before I tried it - and now I really love California! The weather on the west coast is so terrific and there are so many things to do! You just have to see Disneyland!! It's so groovy and beautiful that I can't even describe it to you. I'll take you there someday and personally show you the fantastic sights!

I guess I really changed my mind about California once I made some friends. You know how miserable you can be - no matter where you are - when you don't have any friends. I hate to feel lonely - I bet you do too! Incidentally, there is one thing I want to clear up. Sure, I love California now, but some magazine recently printed that we Cowsills like California girls best of all. That's not true! I've met wonderful girls from all over the United States, Canada - and Europe too. I might like the state of California best - but I love girls from all over the world!

TELEVISION -
I'm a real TV nut! I spend many hours each day watching my good old color television. I like almost all of the shows - Dark Shadows, Here Come The Brides and Mod Squad. My favorite show used to be Star Trek, and I was really disappointed when it wasn't renewed for this season. I also enjoy watching cartoons and movies - particularly horror films and John Wayne movies!

PERFORMING -
I don't really get nervous performing except when I'm up in front of my own class. I don't know why I'm self-conscious in front of my classmates - but that really get to me! Otherwise, I'm fine! It's such a great feeling to look out at the audience and see the faces of people who are happy and enjoying themselves. I like either a small group or a very large crowd. You see, a small group of people is warm and intimate - while a large crowd is very exciting! The one thing that bothers me about being an entertainer is that some people think entertainers are conceited. They form all sort of bad opinions about us - and they don't even know us! And that's one of the reasons we Cowsills make an extra-special effort to meet as many fans as we possibly can. We want them to really know us and to see us as we really are! We don't think we're anything special. In fact, our fans are the "special" people. It's because of each and every one of them that we are where we are - and needless to say, we love all of you very much!

CLOTHES -
Yellow is my favorite color. I like green too - green trees and green grass - but not to wear! I hardly ever wear red because a long time ago we had to wear ugly red blazers to school - and I swore then, "Never again!" I recently went shopping and bought a whole bunch of new clothes. My favorite purchases are a pair of yellow, blue and white bell bottoms and a yellow, navy blue and red stripped suit! I don't know whether my mom's going to like them or not! She's pretty particular about clothes and she might be angry that not enough of the things I bought "match"!

FUTURE -
At the moment, I really don't know what I want to do in the future. I do plan to go to college, though. I think it's important to get an education. Since I'm a sophomore in high school now, I still have three years to decide - but I'll probably go to college somewhere in the midwest. Who knows, maybe I'll end up going to school in your hometown! Because my dad was in the Navy, I used to think I'd like to be a Navy officer. But now I know I love show business so much that I'm sure it will always be my career!

I have a lot of secret dreams concerning things I'd like to do and places I want to visit. For instance, I'd like to live as a hermit in the Rocky Mountains for awhile - even though I've never been camping, except in the backyard! The idea intrigues me. I could take a bear cub and raise it, build a log cabin - and just spend months getting close to nature!

GIRLS & LOVE -
I really dig girls! I think it's important for a girl to be attractive. When a girl looks good - you can't help but notice her! That doesn't mean a girl has to be a raving beauty, cos I honestly think everyone can look attractive with just a little effort. The first think I notice about a girl is her looks. If she's neat and attractive - I want to meet her! Then her personality becomes more important. After all, personality is what keeps the boy interested! I don't like to see girls dressed in boy's clothes. I think a girl should be totally feminine! I also like girls who have a good sense of humor and who are quiet, but not too shy. I enjoy casual dates, like going to the movies or horseback riding. I think I'm still too young to really get serious about one girl - but I know someday I'll fall in love and get married. I love children, so I'll have a big family. Hope you feel the same way I do!
