On our only day in New Orleans we went shopping in the quant old French Quarter.
The party that evening at the Royal Orleans was a smash.
September 26
Houston, Texas
Arrived in Houston at 4 a.m. Took a short rest, then spent the day sightseeing before the evening reception at the Hilton.
September 27
Dallas, Texas
A busy day with two TV shows, radio interview and several press interviews. We had an early reception which ended about 11:00 p.m.
September 28
St. Louis, Mo.
Left Dallas at 8:00 a.m. and drove to St. Louis. We stopped twice at what we have come to call “junk stores.” At these stores we fill up on potato chips, soda and bubble gum and we all take turns picking the “junk store” of the day.
September 29
St. Louis, Mo.
We slept late until noon for a changes, did some interviews and a great, great, great TV show. The Charlotte Peters show. Charlotte cracked us up with her wild antics.
September 30
Chicago, Ill
Arrived in Chicago at 3:00 p.m. and stayed at the Centennial Plaza which is one of the most luxurious hotels I have ever seen.
October 1
Chicago, Ill.
The reception was at 12:00 p.m. this afternoon at the Centennial Plaza and we had a turnout of 250 people (pretty good for a Sunday afternoon) and everybody had a ball.
At 6:00 p.m. we were boarding for our next stop.
