In February, the Cowsills made their fantastic Las Vegas debut at the Flamingo Hotel. But before they flew to the fun city of Nevada, they ask Genie The Tailor to make serveral new sets of costumes.

Genie got out her needles and thread and quick as can be the new costumes were ready for a first fitting. On this particular day, the Cowsills have invited you to a "typical" fitting at Genie The Tailors! So, come on along!

Cowsills

Once The Cowsills convinced Genie she should make their new costumes, she went to work designing new clothes for them all. She had to work night and day for two weeks to finish just two outfits for each. Three more changes are due.

Each costume was a different color, so family act looked like a rainbow.

Three fittings are required to make each costume a perfect fit. Here Paul holds the pins as Genie works.

Paul's costume was orange, Barry's yellow, Bill's turquoise, John's purple, Bob's royal blue, Mrs. Cowsill's was lavender and little Susie's was pink. Here Genie says to make the costumes look their best you must smile always.

Perfect measuring is important to Genie. The Cowsills' costumes were made of crepe for the shirts and dresses and velvet for the boys slacks.

To top off the whole smashing wardrobe, each one had boots specially dyed to match their costume. Groovy!
