You've never known such a groovy, gassy, happening group as the nine Cowsills! Would you believe six brothers, 'lil Sis, Suzie, plus mom and dad - everyone but Curly the dog!

The Cowsills - all nine of them - are the merriest musicians to make the music scene in many a moon. And with their record, "The Rain, The Park & Other Things" rocketing like a missile, they're going to be the biggest!

Nine People in one group???? That's right - six super groovy brothers, 'lil sister, Suzie, mom and dad - each with a job to do to make the group groove. Unique? Yes, but that doesn't say it all. Up and meet the Cowsills!

Creative Bill

Twenty-year-old Bill, Jr., lead singer and organist, is the oldest brother so the rest look to him for the final say. Sensitive (he writes and paints), he also has a super-fab sense of humor like the rest of the clan. When not touring Bill attends Rhode Island College. He wants to be a high school teacher someday.

Happy Bob

Bob is eighteen, kinda' quiet and the happiest, warmest guy you'd ever want to meet! He likes to hibernate with a good book, but he never misses any of the excitement and is usually in the middle of whatever's happening. Bob's an A-student but no egghead!

The Real Barry

Thirteener Barry is the born entertainer of the Cowsills. He's happiest in front of a camara or a roomful of people. He's an honor student, too. The drummer in the beginning, Barry switched to bass guitar when John took over the percussion department. Barry is really alive, and when he turns on his outasite smile, he captures your heart.

Freckled Drummer

Motorcycles, basketball, brown hair and freckles! That's John! Just eleven, he plays drums like you won't believe. He gets so frenzied beating the skins he usually knocks the cymbals into the next country. But once set back on stage, he's off again, beating out those crazy Cowsill rhythms! His main ambition is to fly!

So there you have the center of the action - Bill, Bob, Barry and John - the groovy guys who create chords. (Bill and Bob ahve written over sixty songs so far!) and keep the sounds soaring. But there are five other Cowsills who are just as essential to the actions.

The Girls

Mrs C. (call me Barbara) often vocalizes with her four outasite sons. While she knows strictly where it's at, at home she is equally talented at baking a cake or rehearsing the clan - and there's always plenty of both to do. With this crowd everything is a production!

Now enter eight-year-old Suzie. When she's on stage singing her heart out, the group's complete (unless you count "Curly", the Cowsill's pooch who can't tour with the singing family because he has to stay behind to guard the Cowsills' "spread" in Newport, Rhode Island. Anyway, Suzie wouldn't trade places with anybody in the U.S.A. - six brothers or not. She loves every second of her happening life.

Back Stage

Mr. "C" coordinates the whole gassy group. Without him the Cowsills wouldn't be where the action is. Son Bill, Jr. calls him the world's oldest teenager. Dick, eighteen, who works lights, and Paul, fifteen, the stage manager.

How did the whole scene start? When Mr. "C" was in the armed forces he broguht back instruments from all the countries in which he was stationed. When Bill, Jr. was very young, Mr. "C" taught him to play the guitar he brought from Spain. Bill passed on what he had learned to Bob. Then Barry began banging drums and picked up the bass. John, wanting in on the action starting drumming, and it was go-go-go!

Since the whole clan had always loved music and were constantly singing, it was a natural decision to go all out as a musical group. Bill, Bob, Barry and John have been playing professionally for three years. Mom joined up two years ago, and Suzie soon got in the act. They're a real groove and a gas, those Cowsills!
