RCA Market Planning Manager Posts Assigned Horne, O'Dell and Scheer
NEW YORK — RCA Records activities
in the general pop music area
have been augmented by the appointments
of three market planning managers.
They are Elliot Horne; Bill O'Dell for country and Camden product; and Lenny Scheer for pop.

Scheer joins RCA Records after
having been director of sales for Kapp
Records which he joined early in 1970.
From 1962 until 1970, he was associated
with MGM Records, first as
national singles sales manager, and
from 1965 to 1970 as director of marketing.
In the latter capacity, he supervised
the sales, advertising, A&R
and promo departments of MGM,
Verve and Verve Forecast, and was
heavily involved in creating and developing
marketing campaigns for such
projects as the film music from “Dr.
Zhivago” and “2001; A Space Odyssey”
and such artists as Herman’s
Hermits, the Lovin' Spoonful, The
Cowsills, the Mothers and Connie
Francis. Prior to his association with
MGM, he was employed by ABC Records
and the Richmond Organization.
