MGM Hits $2 Mil At Regional Meets
NEW YORK - MGM Records recently
completed series of local distributor
sales meetings has netted the label
$2 million in billings on new releases
and catalog material, according
to label president Arnold Maxim.
Sales team of Lenny Scheer, marketing
director; Sol Greenberg, MGM
album sales manager; Art Denish,
Verve album sales manager; and
Mike Becce, promotion manager,
brought new product and promotional
material to distributors and their entire
staff on their home ground, a policy
the label feels will result in greater
knowledge and enthusiasm on the
part of each distributorship.
New releases under the MGM logo
include "Hawaii Connie," Connie
Francis; "Pop Stoneman Memorial
Album"; "Orpheus"; "Ultimate
Spinach"; "The Greatest Hits Of
Eric Burdon & The Animals"; "Soft
And Soulful," Bill Medley; "Warm
And Wooley," Sheb Wooley; "The

Of My Youth," Bobby Laurel; "The
