The Cowsills In Magazines

HI! Barry Cowsill here. I want you to be my date and come along with me to share a most happy event - and the most delightful day we Cowsills ever had - my big brother Bill's wedding!! You probably recognize the faces of the Cowsill clan in this picture,. But the pretty blonde in the white veil is Karen Locke - Bill's brand new wife. The smiling chap at the extreme right, next to John, is Karen's younger brother Bruce, who was the ring-bearer for the happy couple. Bill asked Paul to serve as best man. He had to - in order to keep Paul from teasing him so much! Our tutor Dottie Crown (not in this pix) was the maid of honor.

Well, if it isn't flower-girl Sue, Even I have to admit that my li'l sis looks pert and pretty in her very first gown. Susie just loves Karen! We all do, but Sue has a special reason - cos now she finally has a sister!

You can bet your mini-skirt that John is about to get into some sort of mischief - just give him time! By the way, doesn't Dick look dashing in his Army uniform? We were all so glad that he was able to get time off to attend the wedding. But wouldn't you know it - his twin Bob came down with the flu and had to stay home in bed! He's all better now, though, so don't you worry.

Dad wanted to know which one of us was next! Not me - that's for sure! I've got plenty of time before I settle down. Of course, Dad was just kidding. He just loves to go to weddings!!

Mom didn't take her eyes off Bill all day! Guess she was thinkin' about when he was a little boy and how he grew up. (Girls have those kind of thoughts, you know).

I want you all to meet out "Uncle Lenny." He's not really a relative - he's our manager, Lenny Stogel, but we've sort of adopted him into the family, cos we're very fond of him!

Sunday, June 9th, is one day Bill and Karen won't forget. In fact, they'll remember every minute of that day from the ceremony at the Broadway United Church of Christ to this reception in the Palm Court of the elegant Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

Oh, how do you like the bright red Mickey Mouse watch Karen is wearing? Bill brought it back from Disneyland for her and requested that she put it on. As for the kiss - well, I'm much too young to be watching this. Why don't you and I sneak out and let them have some privacy!!
