FLASH!! BARRY COWSILL narrowly escaped being killed when the motorbike he was riding with his future brother-in-law, 22-year-old KENNY ROBERTS, missed a turn and the bike went rolling over in a suburban section of Glendale, California!! While brother BOB (who was at the ROBERTS' residence visiting his future bride, lovely model NANCY ROBERTS) watched the whole scene aghast, ambulances rushed Barry and Kenny to nearby Glendale Memorial hospital. By some miracle, Barry and Kenny (neither of whom were wearing helmets at the time – so let that be a lesson to all you bike riders!) were not seriously injured. Barry suffered minor lacerations on the back of his neck and shoulders and had to have 27 stitches taken, while Kenny suffered a broken nose and lacerations of the face. Both boys were hospitalized for over a week, but beautiful Barry is back with the COWSILL family on the road – giving concerts and singing up a storm as usual. Whew!!
