Eric, on the other hand, was supposed to be somewhat insulted that he was not considered druggy enough to be dropped. Burdon eventually did leave MGM, which became a label for good, clean family acts like the Cowsills and the Osmonds. Yet despite paring down the roster of artists, the company barely broke even in 1970 and 1971. Curb was the last President of MGM before it was sold to Polygram. . . .
