The early 1970s included teen pop performers like the Jackson Five, the Osmonds, and the Cowsills; the mid-1980s peen pop included Menudo, Debbie Gibson, and New Kids on the Block. In the context of this study, First Wave Teen Pop specifically refers to 1995-2003 and Second Wave Teen Pop 2006-2011.
