Before he got involved with rockers like Joan Jett, producer Ritchie Cordell was the brains and brawn behind the 1910 Fruitgum Campany, with hits like "Simon Says," "1,2,3 Red Light," and "Indian Giver," gold records all. Other bands on Buddha included the Ohio Express, which minted gold with such timeless tunes as "Chewy Chewy" and "Yummy, Yummy, Yunny." Another was the "made for TV" version of the mother-and children family group the Cowsills and of the ultimate prefab bands of all time, the Partridge Family.
