Malone had already changed into a pair of baggy jeans and a solft black sweatshirt - Ronnnie's clothes again, Bella imagined. Black suited Malone, however, staring at him was disturbing, so she gazed around the room instead. It had valted ceilings, faded rose and moss-toned furniture, fringed lamps, tintype pictures of Chinatown, and now a crackling fire and an old Cowsills song on the radio.
