Shelby Singleton December 16, 1931 - October 7, 2009
Shelby Singleton's Cowsill connection is that he was the man who signed The Cowsills to Mercury/Philips records. According to his Los Angeles Times obituary, in the late '50s Shelby came Mercury Records' as a promotion man and soon had risen to head of A&R.
