Cowsills

Norma Jeanne Peterson is the mother of John's wife, Vicki Peterson Cowsill.

Vicki announced her mother's death on Facebook as follows:
She introduced me to Dr. Seuss and Harper Lee; instilled in me a love of language and swing dancing. She said that profanity was laziness and that there's no excuse for a dirty bathroom. She never left the house without a swipe of lipstick. She tolerated Beatles playing in the house 24/7, and encouraged my high school band to rehearse in the living room. She was elegant and compassionate and I love her dearly.

Goodbye, Norma Jeanne

Once upon a time an angel held my hand,
She wiped away my tears and helped me understand.
Our time on earth is brief, there's lessons to be learned,
Each precious day God gives us another page is turned.

God's called her to his heavenly home, part of his great plan,
Although it may be hard, we all must understand.
Faith is what is hoped for, things we cannot see,
Heaven is promised to all of us if only we believe
