Where do I even begin with Lynne???? Some of the earliest performing Cowsills pictures I know of were taken by Lynne. Lynne, and her sister Darlene, had to be some of earliest Cowsill fans. Their father would drive them around New England to countless shows, often spending the concert time drinking beer with Bud Cowsill. Lynne and Darlene were part of the gang known as the "Jersey girls" - a group that was known to have attended many, many shows.
Of course I need to mention Lynne's "suitcase." It was full of much Cowsill memorabilia. Every thing from photos to newspapers to broken guitar strings.
I had heard many stories of Lynne before our meeting for the first time in Newport, Rhode Island in September 1998. I was blessed to have many meetings thereafter all over the country, sharing our love for The Cowsills. One memory I especially remember was singing along with Lynne at The Kerry in New Orleans. I loved that Lynne was what I thought of as a sterotypical New Yorker.
The Cowsills dedicated "The Rain, the Park and Other Things" to Lynne on June 11, 2022 on Long Island when Paul said, "This song goes out to one of our very first flower girls, Lynne Margosian. Whereever you are, we love you!"
Lynne suffered a stroke in 2021 and died due to complications of that.
Keep the boys up there in line for us, Lynne. A major part of our Cowsill world will forever be missed.
