Gerald "Gerry" Goffin
February 11, 1939 – June 19, 2014

Gerry

Gerry Goffin was a songwriter (lyricist) and the husband (for a time) of Carole King.

Gerry had Cowsill ties in that he penned - along with Carole - the song "Chains" which appears on The Co-Dependents Live Recording Event Volume 2. The duo also wrote one of the songs Susan recorded singularly in the late 1970's, that song being "It Might As Well Rain Till September." Another song was when Susan, as part of the Continental Drifters, also was known to perform "I Can't Make It Alone."
