The Show
My review/comments of this 2 hour show. Note: I find it funny that this review almost exactly is like the last time I saw him 3 years before.
First let’s start with the best – John – parts.
1. He only sang California Dreamin’, his part of Getcha Back and his “love” of Why Do Fools Fall in Love. Of course I was highly disappointed.
2. John funnies: John did a Pulp Fiction drumming dance during one song.
This was the first time - to my knowledge - that any Cowsill ever played in Topeka.
Now the concert as a whole: It was extremely loud and very hard to hear the vocals over the instruments. I really do enjoy the addition of the Saxaphone and flute parts by Randy Leago.
I went with the four chemists from St. Francis. Sitting in the top back row had one advantage. We could dance as crazy as we wanted and no one but us saw it.
Jeffrey Foskett wasn't there and so Brian Eichenberg did the high parts, and did them very well. Keith Hubacher took over on bass. The rest of the band was Mike and Bruce, along with Christian Love, Scott Totten and Tim Bonhomme
The set list was pretty typical with the addition of a couple songs from Unleash The Love.
Althought not a sell-out, the crowd seemed to love every second. I really didn't see many young people there though.
