William and Rebecca (English) Boon



William Boon was born in 1735 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, and died December 1799 in Franklin County, North Carolina. He was listed as a planter, farmer. He was a private in Walsh's Company, 8th North Carolina Regiment, under Col. James Armstrong, in the Revolutionary War. He enlisted January 1, 1777 for three years.

William married twice. His second wife was Rebecca English whom he married in1758 in Bertie County, North Carolina. Rebecca was born in 1738 in Bertie County, North Carolina and died in 1799 in Franklin County, North Carolina.

The will of William Boon lists twelve children. The first two by his first wife. They are 1. Willis Boon, born 1755 2. Benjamin 3. Sion, born February 16, 1760 and died July 17, 1829 4. Mary 5. Sarah 6. Patience 7. Rebecca 8. Cely 9. Kinchen 10. Nancy 11. Patsy 12. Tabitha, born August 30, 1797 died February 1863.
