Gilley Boon Will

The following is the will of William Boon. The spelling may not be accurate, but done as the original will.

In the Name of God, amen I William
Boon of Franklin county & state of North Carolina
being in a declining state of health, but of sound mind
and memory do make and ordain this my last will &
testament in the following manner. (to wit)
First I assign my Soul to God who gave it & my body to
be decently buried.
I lend to my wife Rebecca Boon during her natural
life or widowhood the use of my land & plantation where I
now live, also four Negroes (to wit) Jenny, Cloe, Andrew,
& Isham, three cows and calves, two feather beds and fur-
nature, two sows and pigs, one lay mare & bridle & kitchen
furniture to remain together during her life or widowhood
for the support of my four youngest daughters (to wit)
Caly (or Ashly), Patsey, Nancy & Tabitha & in case of her
death or marriage as much of the stock and furniture which I
lend to her to be sold as my executors shall think sufficient
to raise my four daughters above named.
My will and desire is that after the death or marriage
of my wife Rebekah Boon that the land and plantation
which I lend her shall be sold at twelve month credit
and that money be equally divided between my three
sons Benjamin Boon, Sion Boon and Kinchen Boon.
I give and bequeath to my sons John Willis Boon, Benjamin
Boon, Sion Boon and Kinchen Boon the four Negroes which I
lend to my wife Rebecca (after her death or marriage) to be
equally divided between tem by lot or other ways
to Give their heirs & assigns forever.
My will and desire is that my executors hereafter named
_________ as much of the present crop and as much ___________
as they shall think sufficient to support my wife & four youngest daughters the current year and the residue of my
hays and crop to be dispensed of at the discression of my
executors and the money as rising from such sale and sales to
be applied as hereafter to wit.
My will and desire is that the whole of my estate not already
dispensed of shall be sold and the money rising therefrom
after paying my just debts be equally divided between my
eight daughter (to wit) Mary Jones, Nancy Boon, Patience
Boon, Rebecca Boon, Caby Boon, Nancy Boon, Patsy Boon &
Tabitha Boon to them, their heirs & assigns forever deduct
out of Mary Jones first fifteen pounds Virginia money
also my part of my Fathers estate left me in Virginia I
bequeath to be equally divided between my eight daughters
above named. I constitute & appoint my friends George
Pemslate and Will Henry John Willis Boon executors to this my
Last will & testament.
