Cowsill Marathon I

Cowsill Marathon I started on December 4th and went till December 8th, 1997. The Holiday Inn in Woodland Hills, California was our resting (??) place. The following were part of the party all or part of that weekend: Bob Cowsill, John Cowsill, Robby Scharf, Tracy Pierson, Kathy McWhirt, Kristy Carter, Jo Malone, Carol Lewandowski Fritz, Vicky Sedgwick, Sue Otto, Sandy R, Marilynn Manfra, Gary Strobel, David Harris, and Becky Presley. Besides the main event, the four hour show at Pickwick's Pub, we spent our time dining at Cables and the Hard Rock Cafe. We also went looking at Christmas lights, visiting Cowsill sites, chatting and sharing at the hotel, listening to Marilynn sing for us at Canter's Deli, and two in the group even enterained some uninvited Marines in their room (hee hee). No t-shirts were made for this first marathon.

TOP 10 LESSONS LEARNED IN LA

10. It never rains in California except when Cowsill fans come to town.
9. The Beverly Center on a Sunday during the Christmas shopping season is NOT the place to go.
8. Some like 'em sweaty - some don't.
7. Marilynn's car is the favorite place to leave jackets and sweaters.
6. Vans come with collapsible mirrors.
5. Some things you can drive straight to and some things you can't.
4. LA needs lessons from Kansas in how to label city streets regarding freeway entrances.
3. Robby is bucking to become "favorite" Cowsill.
2. Travis Cowsill 1992 is now carved on the famous Cowsill tree.

AND THE NUMBER ONE THING I LEARNED IN LA.....

One word - Butch.
