FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK:
Once again the time draws near to renew membership for another year. If your newsletter address still has a 95 on it, then I have not received a renewal from you unless you have recently sent it. We treasure our older members and like to hang onto them. If there is someone you know who is interested in the Presley family, please encourage them to join our organization or contribute information to it. Thank you.

Obituary
San Antonio Express News Friday, January 6, 1995
Presley
Mr. Clark Lee Presley, born March 13, 1933, in Hooker, OK., passed from this life into the hands of our Heavenly Father by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ on December 30, 1994, in Waco. "God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being."... ACTS 7:27,28. We the family of Clark Presley praise God for what he is doing iii our midst and the care he gives in our circumstance. Mr. Presley is survived by his children: Russell and Renee Swann, Kraig and Lori Fields; his youngest daughter, Cassie Presley; his grandchildren, TafFan Fields Presley, Beau, Bradley and Britt Swarm, all of Waco. Also survived by a sister, Luanne Steen of Tulsa, OK and his dearest and lifelong friend, John Clark of Waco. Mr. Presley grew up in Crane, TX. His talents on the football field led to a scholarship to New Mexico A & M . He was drafted as a kicker for the 1955 L. A. Rams, but accepted an appointment in the U.S. Air Force as a test pilot with the Strategic Air Command. He flew KC97s. He resigned his commission to pursue a career in the savings and loan business. His pursuit of excellence and dedication to truthful and honest business in that field led him from a vice presidency for Odessa Savings to the presidency of Main Savings in San Antonio. He and his wife raised their three daughters in San Antonio, as well as burgeoning Main Saving assets and increasing its size to become World Savings San Antonio. Mr. Presley retired to enjoy ranching in Hubbard, TX, in the early 80's and after brief employments with First National Bank of Waco and Texas National Bank of Waco, he established and owned the Pearle Vision Center on West Waco Drive in Waco. Mr. Presley closed his store on December 23 to enjoy a Christmas vacation with his family, but died suddenly after returning to Waco on Decem-ber29. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Praise Celebration was held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 3, at Highland Baptist Church in Waco. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Everywhere School" at Hillcrest Professional Development School, J.H. Hines Montessori, Vanguard Preparatory School or the "Angel House," all located in Waco.
