I James E. Gresham in acting and duly commissioned Justice of the Peace within and for the County of Independence do herby certify that on the 11th day of October A.D. 1857 in the county aforesaid came before me Alfred Rockhold aged 53 years to me well known who is a resident of aforesaid county and Eliza Presley also to me well known and of the age 27 years a resident also of aforesaid County & State and they were there by me as their mutual request joined in the bonds of Matrimony according to the laws of our County. In witness whereof I do and my hand and seal as such Justice this 12th day of October A.D. 1857
