John Herbert was in Salem, Massachusetts in 1637. He was a shoemaker from Northampton, England. He probably came over on the ship Abigail in 1635 at age 23. This makes his birth occurring in 1612. His wife Mary was with the church though he wasn't. He was sent to Southold, L.I. ( Long Island ???) probably after 1668.
