acknowledge ourselves to be indebted to John H. Sutherlin, Clerk of the
District Court, in and for the Parish of De Soto, in the State of Louisiana.
or to his successors in office, for the use and benefit of the heirs and repre-
sentatives of Thomas Jefferson
in the sum of
Eighteen Thousand five hundred Dollars to the payment of which
We hereby bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, in solido.

The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above Lounden
Green Jefferson has been appointed
Administrator of the succession of Thomas Jefferson decd
Now, if the said, Green Jefferson
shall well and truly discharge and perform all the duties incumbent on him by law,
in his said capacity of administrator
and shall pay or deliver over to those entitled by law to receive the same, all and
Every sum or sums of money and all other effects which may come into his hands as
administrator as aforesaid; and shall render a true and faith-
ful account of his administration, whenever he shall be thereunto legally required,

Jefferson wife of James Scott, Francis Scott only child of
Amanda Jefferson deceased & Robert H. Scott, Thomas and
Elizabeth Tharp only children of Ann M. Jefferson wife of
David Tharp both deceased; Cicily M Jefferson wife of
John Glover, Green W. Jefferson and Walter R Jefferson
all of whom reside in Desoto Parish State of Louisiana and
the only heirs of Thomas Jefferson deceased lat of your

successionors is undivided and that the apparent property

Wherefore I said Notary did declare said partition to
be made, as aforesaid between the heirs aforesaid and
Mrs. Mary R. Jefferson. And now proceed to close
this partition at the late residence of Thomas Jefferson
deceased, in the Parish aforesaid, on the day and
year aforesaid, by causing the said parties to sign this
partition, together with the said experts and me the said
Notary,a nd in the presence of Richard R. Riggs
and John M. Prather witnesses of lawful age and

with respect presents that in order to
pay the debts of said succion it is
necessary to sell other property wherefore
he prays to be permitted to sell for
cash to the highest and last bidder the
following movable property to wit:
three acres lying in the south west
corner of the north west quarter of the
south west quarter of section twenty one
township fourteen range thirteen
that he has commissioned to make need
