Georgia, Greene County:
To the court of Ordinary of said county:
The petition of Samuel H. Silbey shows
That on February 14, 1914, Mrs. Julia A. Knox died a resident of said state testate. Her will, and a codicil thereto have been probated in common form, and are of record in said court.
Your petitioner is nominated executor thereof Miss Mollie Clark being dead and now presents said will and codicil for probate in solemn form by all the witnesses.
Petitioner shows that testatrix had a son named George Skipton, who left his said mother, while she was living in Greene County, about thirty five years ago, and has not since been heard of. Presumably said son is dead. So far as petitioner is aware, he left no descendants, and so far as petitioner is aware, said testatrix left no other blood relatives who could be her heirs at law.
The whereabouts of said son being unknown, and the existence and whereabouts of other heirs being likewise unknown, petitioner prays that the court will pass such order as to publication as will tend most effectually to give notice of this application for probate, and that said will and codicil be then proved in solemn, and established as the last will of said testatrix, and the letters testamentary heretofore issued to petitioner to confirmed.
Samuel Silby Executor
Greene Court of Ordinary, March Term, 1914
It appearing that the names and whereabouts of the heirs at law of Julia A. Knox are wholly unknown, it is ordered that a citation directed to Geroge Skipton, her son, and other unknown persons, next of kin and heirs at law of Julia A. Knox, late of this county deceased be issued, calling upon them to show cause at the June Term, 1914 of this court why the papers propounded as the last will and codicil of said Julia A. Knox should not be probated in solemn form as such, and that said citation be published twice a month for two months before said term.
