Fulton Court of Ordinary Chambers, Nov 26th, 1867
The attached application of Mers. Diana Kelsey, widow of Joel Kelsey Sr. Decd to have
partitioners appointed to set aside to her a twelve months support and a sufficiency of
the household & kitchen furniture of deceased for her use there being no minor children
having been read & considered, It is ordered that Alfred Austell, L. P. Davis, John G.
Westmoreland, L. C. Wells and Charles Harrison, or a majority of them be & they are hereby
appointed appraisers to set apart to the said Diana Kelsey widow of said deceased, a sum
sufficient for her support for twelve months, in money or property belonging to the estate,
also a sufficiency of the household & kitchen furniture for the use of said widow. Land
property as set apart & furniture to be appraised by them and schedule returned to the County
according to requirements of sections 25-31 & 25-32 of the Code of Georgia.

To Hon Daniel Patterson ordinary of Fulton County –
The undersigned widow of Joel Kelsey Sr respectfully represents that her husband late of said
county departed this life intestate possessed of a house & lot on Calhoun Street in city of
Atlanta worth probably $2000 & a suitable lot of household furniture as the only property
belonging to said estate. Your petitioners ____ represents that there is no refusutative of said
estate – and representative cashs, Your Hon. to appoint five discreet appraisers to set apart &
assayers to your petition a sufficiency from the estate for her sufficient & maintenance for the
space of twelve months & necessary furniture according to the statutes in such cases made &
provided your petition for their suggests that there are no minor children.

support for Mrs. Diana Kelsey widow of Joel Kelsey Sen decd do herby set apart all the household & Kitchen furniture
belonging to said Joel Kelsey Sen decd and also One Thousand Dollars in money for her proper maintenance and support for
one year from the said Joel Kelsey Sen. Decd.
In witness where of we here unto set our hands and affix our seals this twenty sixth day of November one thousand
