Willis Alston Hawkins Will

This is the will of Willis A. Hawkins. The spelling may not be accurate, but done as orginal will.
State of Georgia, Sumter County In the Name of God Amen, I Willis A. Hawkins live in said County and State, Being of advanced age and know well that I must shortly depart this life deem it right and proper that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind Jesus deem to blessed me do therefore make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other herefore made by me.
1st Item I desire and direct that My body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to by circumstances and go last to rest with God who gave it as I hope for eternal salvation through the blood and attonament of the blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whose religion I have professed and as I humbly hope have professed and enjoyed for sixty Four years.
2nd Item I desire and direct that all my just debts by paid without delay by my Executors hereafter appointed.
3rd Item I give and bequeath unto my grandson Sion B. Hawkins the sum of Five Hundred dollars to be paid by my Executors hereafter appointed out of any property or effects what come to me belonging and the rest of my property I give and bequeath unto my Live sons, Sion B and Willis A and the heirs of Wm. H, deceased son.
4th Item I hereby constitute and appoint my two sons Sion B and Willis A Executors of this my last will and testament

Signed sealed declared and published by Willis A Hawkins here as his will and testament in the possession of us the subscribing witnesses who subscribed our names here in the presence of said Testator this 15 day of Sept., 1876
