Know all men by these prisents ye Jon. Gidney Senir of Salem, vintner, for divers good causes & consideration thereunto me moveing, especially for the good will & natural affection, yt I beane & I have unto Bartholomew Gidney, my son, now of Salem, shipwright, have given graunted, alined & confirmed & doe by these prisents, absolutely & clearely give, grant, aliene & confirme, unto ye sd Bartho. Gedney, a containe p’cell of marsh, about an acre, be it more or less, scittual & lying neare the great cove on ye north neck soe called, in ye bounds of Salem, bounded on ye north with ye land of Robt. Goodell, to ye east with a brooke, & on ye west with som land of John Horne. To have & to hold ye sd acre of marsh, be it more or less, with all ye prifitts, privilidges & appurtenances, thereunto belonging, unto ye sd Bartholomew Gidney, U to hios heires, executors, administrators & assignes forever and I ye sd John Gidney due by these prisents covenant, primise & adree, for my selfe, my heires, executers, administrators & assignes the peaceable possession to give & maintayne & alsoe to warrant acquit & defind, all & singular ye primisses unto ye sd Bartholomew, his heires & assignes, against all prisons laying claime thereto by from or under me In witness hereof I ye sd John Gidney have put to my hand & seale this twenty fift day of Mch in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred sixty & seaven. To all people to whom these prisents writing shall come, John Gidney of Salem in ye County of Essex, in New England, vintner, sendeth greeting: Know yee yt I ye sd John Gidney for divers good cause & considerations me thereuntoe moveing especially for the love & natural affection which I beare & have to my son Bartholmew Gedney of Salem aforesd, ship wright, have given & granted & by these prisents doe freely, cleerely & absolutely, give, grant & confirme unto ye sd Bartholmew Gidney, on acre of land lying & being scittuate in Salem aforesaid & is that acre of land which I lately bought of John Ruck, as apeeres by a bill of sale from him ye sd Ruck bearing date ye 20th June 62 & was pt of yt land of ye sd Ruck’s adjoining to his dwelling house the sd acre of land being bounded with a lane or highway to ye south with ye common on ye west & with ye land of John Ruck on ye north & the cove or river to the east, with all y privilidges thereto belonging more piticulerly exsprest in the sd bill of sale apeareth. To have & to hold the sd acre of land with all ye prifitts, privilidges & comodyties thereunto belonging unto ye sd Bartholmew Gedney & to his heires, executors, administrtors & assignes from ye daye of the date heareof forevery, freely, without any maner of reclaime or contradiction of me ye sd John Gidney my executors or administrators or any other pison or pisons whatsoever by any meanes, title or picurement, in any names of wise, or without any accoumpt or reckoning, or answer therefor to me or any in my name, to given, rendered order in any time to come soe that neither I ye sd John Gidney, my executors or administrators, nor any other pison or pisons for us by us or in our names, or in the name or names of us, or any of us, at any time or times I heareafter, make aske, claim or demand, in or to ye primisses or any pt thereof any interest, right, title, use & possession, but from all actions of right, title, claime, use, possession & demand, the & every of us atterly to be excluded & forever debamed by these prisents & I ye sd John Gedney, my executors & administrators, the said acre of land given & granted as above sd, against all people shall & will warrant & defend by these prisents. In witness whereof I have sett to my hand & seale this twentieth daye of November in ye yeare of our Lord God, one thousand, six hundred sixty & fourer being ye sixteenth yeare of ye raign of our Soveraigne Lord King Charles ye Second.

To all people to whome these prisents writing shall come, John Gidney of Salem in ye County of Essex, in New England, vintner, sendeth greeting: Know yee yt I ye sd John Gedney for divers good cause & considerations me thereunto me moveing especially for the love & naturall affection I beare & have to my son Bartholmew Gedney of the same place, ship wright, have given & graunted & by these prisents doe freely, cleerely & absolutely, give, grant & confirme unto ye sd Bartholmew Gidney, a certaine picell of land containing about ten acres, more or less, scittuate & is lying in the north neck, within the limits of Salem & is bounded on the east with ye land of John Symonds, on the west with a highway, that runs into the lotts by Marshalls, on the north with ye land of John Neale on the south with a highway that runs betweene ye sd lott & som land of John Symonds, to have & to hold ye sd land, be it more or less, with all ye prifitts, privilidges & appurtenances there to belonging unto ye sd Bartholmew Gidney, his heires, executors, administrators & assignes from the daye of the date of these prisents, forever heareafter, freely, without any maner of reclaime or contradiction of me ye sd John Gidney my executors or administrators or any other pison or pisons whatsoever by any meanes, title or picurement, in any names of wise, or without any accoumpt or recconing, or answer therefor to me or any in my name, to given, rendered or don in any time to come soe yt neither I ye sd John Gidney, nor my executors or administrators, nor any other pison or pisons for by us or in our names, or in the name or names of us, or any of us, at any time or times I heareafter, make ask, claime or demaund, in or to ye primisses or any pt thereof any interest, right, title, claime, use, possession or demaund ever, & every of us utterly to be excluded & forever debanned by these prisent; & I ye sd John Gedney, my executors & administrators, the said land be it more or less, given & granted as above said, against all people shall & will warrant & defend by these prisents; as witness my hand & seale this sixt daye of Deember in ye yeare of our Lord, one thousand, six hundred sixty & five being ye sseaventeenth yeare of ye raigne of our Soveraigne Lord King Charles ye Second.

Know all men by these prisents that Barthelmew Gedney of Salem, shipwright, for & in consideration of a valuable sume in hand alredy received; have bargained & sould & doe by these prisent bargaine, sell & confirme, unto the p’ties underneath mentioned the hull of the ship called the John Adventure, with masts, yards, boate & all other appurtenances of carpentors thereunto belonging vidz : unto Capt. Walter Price, Mr. John Gedney senir, Mr Jno Corwin & Mr. Jno Gedney Junir to each one quart pt of sd vessel, they being joint ptners therein are equally, interested. To have & to hould ye same, for the proper use & behafe of themselves, heirs, executors, administrators & assignes, without any molestation, incumbrance or claime, from myself, heirs, executors or assigns, either directly or indirectly or any way whtsoeever; as witness my hand & seale, this 7th September, in ye yeare of our Lord, one thousand, six hundred, sixty & nine.

Be it know unto all men by these prisents, that I Bartholmew Gedney of Salem, in New England shipwright, for & in consideration of a valuable sume to me in hand paid by Andrew Bowne of ye pirsh of Stepney in ye County of Midlesex, London, mamenor & now resident in Salem aforesd, before the sealing & delivery of these prisents have bargained & sould, & doe by these prisents bargaine, sell aliene, assigne, sell over & confirme unto ye sd Andrew Boune & to his executors, admisinstrators & assignes the hull of a now ship called ye Providence of London, being of burthen about one hundred & forty turn being built & finished with all carpenters work, according to the custome of build in this contry To have & to hould the hull of ye sd ship the Provideonce of London, with the carpenters work don & finished, according to custom as afreds, with the sd Andrew Boune & to his executors, administrators & assignes to his & theire or any thereire proper use & behovfe, as theire owne proper goods forever and I ye sd Bartholmew Gedney for myself, my executors & administrators, the hull of ye sd ship with theire appurtenances as to carpenters work as foresd unto ye sd Andrew Boune, his executors, administrators & assignes, shall & by these prisents doe warrant & defind,k aginst all pisons whatsoever laying leagall claime thereto.
