Know all men by these presents that we Gabriel Eads & Henry Garner are held and firmly bound unto Charles Scott Esquire & his successors in the sum of £50 current money the payment whereof well & truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs & jointly & severally firmly by these presents sealed & dated this 27th day of October 1808
The condition of the above obligations is such that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be had & solemnized between the above bound Gabriel Eads & Leah Garner. If therefore there be no lawful cause to obstruct the same, then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force. Signed & acknowledged before me M Taul
