In the name of God Amen I Alexander Mills of the County of Wilkes State of Georgia being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God cawling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed for all men once to dye I do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament that is to say principaly and first of all I give and recomend my sole into the hands of the allmighty God that gave it and my body I recomend to the earth to be buried in a decent and Christian manner and as trusting such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life I give device and dispose of the same in the following manner
I give and bequeath unto my dear and well beloved wife Alias Mills the sum eigh pounds current money of this state to be paid out of my personal estate
I give and bequeath to my well beloved daughter Agnes Thompson the sum of one shilling that money to be paid out of personal estate
I give unto my well beloved daughter Elizabeth Ayer one shilling sterling
I give and bequeath unto my son Gilbert Mills one shilling sterling
I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Alexander Mills the sum of one shilling sterling
I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son John Mills the sum of one shilling sterling
I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Jane Mills the sum of one shilling sterling
I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Margaret Baker the sum of one shilling sterling
I give and bequeath all the remainder part of my personal estate such as goods and chattle all manner of working tool and every thing unto me belong in or pertaining after all my just debts are paid unto William Mills my beloved son and my well beloved daughter Abigall my beloved son James Mills my beloved daughter Sarah Mills my well beloved son Absolam Mills my well beloved son Jesse Mills and my well beloved son David Alexander Mills to be equally divided among them and each one to have an equall sear of the remainder of my personal estate and the afore said not to be sold but to be divided by som two or three responsible person older who shall equally divide the same among them
I likewise made and ordain my said wife Alias Mills to be my executor and William Gent my executor which said Alias Mills and Wm. Gent appoint and constitute full as sole executrix and executor of this my last Will and Testament by me made pronouncing conforming declaring this and no other to be my last Will and Testament by me thereby declaring to be null and void and of non effect in writing this 26th day of September in the year of our Lord 1777
